Rückblickend ist es kaum noch vorstellbar, aber zu Beginn seiner Karriere war Cliff Richard ein Teenie-Idol. 1958, als der Rock noch mehr Roll war, und Elvis die Jugend mit seinem Hüftschwung elektrisierte. Aber auch wenn man sich den britischen Sänger heute nur noch in einem Schlagerumfeld vorstellen kann, in Fernsehshows, die Dieter Thomas Heck leider nicht mehr moderiert, ganz als seichten Unterhaltungsonkel kann man Cliff Richard nicht abtun.
