British Invasion: History of British Rock, Vols. 1-9

In den 60er Jahren schwappten zahlreiche Künstler aus Großbritannien in die USA und begeisterten durch ihren frischen unverbrauchten Stil. Der Begriff British Invasion entstand zu dieser Zeit und wurde vor allem durch große Bands wie die BEATLES THE ROLLING STONES und THE WHO geprägt. Aber auch andere Musiker hatten einen nicht unerheblichen Einfluss auf die Musik dieser Zeit stehen aber geschichtlich gesehen eher im Schatten der großen Namen. Dabei waren Künstler wie THE YARDBIRDS oder auch MANFRED MANN durchaus keine Unbekannten. Auf The British Invasion History Of British Rock wurde diesen Künstlern ein vertontes Denkmal gesetzt. Es enthält zwar viele große Künstler nicht gibt aber dennoch einen guten Einblick in das Musikgeschehen der 60er Jahre. ~ Lasse Gerlach aufklappen »
